1) Phone/mp3 player took a dip in the pool or rain? Try to save it by burying it in a container full of rice. The rice will absorb the moisture out.

2) Penny collector? Taco Bell’s Hot sauce is really good at cleaning pennies. ( lol wat)

3) DO NOT PLAY basketball in running shoes, you will twist your ankle.

4) All women think about what others think about them, there are no exceptions

5) When playing “rock paper scissors” 90% of players go for scissors first.

6) Eat your toast upside down, that way you can actually enjoy the butter you spread on.

Sorry for the lack of posts peeps, I had some legit midterms to deal with and one more on Tuesday. I feel like my brain is about to be intellectually BANKRUPTED. But I’ll always make time for some sweet tips for ya’ll’s. Turkey Day is coming up in a few weeks, I CAN’T WAIT TO GET SWOLL. Now some hacks to make your already awesome lives even better!

1) Unless you are communing everyday, you should only fill up half way when pumping gas. The less weight of gas allows better mileage if you are just driving around locally.

2) Everything people do is self motivated, nobody “does stuff to be kind”

3) Need to get up early? To stop yourself pressing on the snooze button PUT YOUR ALARM CLOCK ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE ROOM. This will force you out of bed. (unless you are super lazy and continue sleeping)

4) Hard to get those earrings in? Before you put them all lick/wet your thumb and index finger and touch where the earring hole is. This will open it up more for you to put your earring on.

5) Toothpaste(the creamy kind not gel) can buff out small scratches. So you can fix CD’s or displays.

Another week! It's Halloween in America! Where 1-15 year olds go get candy and 18-28 year olds get drunk and freaky. So be safe and here are some tips to make your already awesome lives even better!

1) Going to a Halloween rave? Don’t want to spend $10 on a bottle of water? Tell a staff member there (whoever walks around with a radio/wakie talkie) that you were given some kind of pill and you are now feeling dehydrated. The last thing they want is the event to be crashed with fire trucks and ambulances so they will hand you a few bottles to avoid that.

2) At the store, just because the sign says "Buy 2 get 1 free" it doesn’t you mean you save. If you don’t need it!

3) Use the “draft” option when printing long paper documents, This saves you ink and money.

4) LAZY? FIGURE THIS OUT! The consequences and stress from procrastinating are TEN TIMES worse than just getting off your ass and doing whatever it is you are putting off. (seriously)

5) When you blow your nose, make sure you keep your mouth open. You can actually rupture/pop your eardrums if you don’t

6) Install a mirror in your shower. Shaving in the shower is most convenient, your skin is soft and lubricated and the shavings just flow down the drain.

7) Ladies! Always wait for your moisturizer to be completely absorbed before applying foundation, that way your “face” won’t slide off in the middle of the day.

Yo Yo Yo, Hope everyone had a good week. I know I did! Thank you all for supporting me and I will keep up the mediocre work! Now some tips and hacks to make your awesome life even more awesome!

1) Body Language, A person pointing their feet at you means they are paying attention. Shy or Nervous people often hide their palms when talking (O_o)

2) When you are robbed or threatened, do not say "help". It won't attractive attention. Instead say FIRE.

3) I hate ingrown toenails THEY HURT LIKE HELL. To prevent this, cut a wide "v" shape into your nail next time you clip your nails. This allows your sides to not grow in.

4) Gotta take care of business in a public bathroom? Before you deposit your presents, lay some toilet paper. This prevents yucky splashes and avoids that loud "PLOP" noise.

5) Ladies! do not shake nail polish before applying. This creates air bubbles. Instead roll it with you hands before putting it on.

Too many passwords? Make them strong, easy to remeber!

Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter, Blogger. We have so many different identities on the internet. This also means so many usernames and PASSWORDS. Keeping track of all of these is tiresome so we usually just have nice "one for all" password. It may seem convenient for now, but once it gets guessed right you could be filing for Chapter 7 bankruptcy. This video helped me with making easy to remember and not be weaksauce like Tom.

Kinder Bueno

Kinder Bueno is a chocolate bar from Ferrero. It is a hazelnut cream filled wafer with a chocolate covering. Kinder Bueno originally comes from Germany, where it was first released in 1990. Being in America means I can't have nice things. The Bueno is hard to find and I was able to acquire one at a World market. FIVE DOLLARS IS WORTH IT.

I also picked up some PG tips cause of the monkey commercials I have been watching on youtube.

Week 3! And I am still doing this?? Haha I'm proud of myself, and of you guys! This was a slow week thanks to pesky university midterms, but now I can concentrate on you guys! Let's see if I can get 100+ followers this week.

AND now to improve that already awesome life you already have!

1) Hate that feeling when you are about to sneeze and then you suddenly stop? Next time you are about to sneeze look into something bright. This guarantees you won't stop mid-way and feel miserable.

2) Need an extra phone charger? Next time when you go and stay over a hotel tell the front desk you "lost" your charger. Cell Chargers are the number thing lost there so chances are they might have "yours"

3) If you need to remember something or bring something to work, put your car/house keys on it the night before. So the next day when you are all groggy you will not forget.

4) Men, wear boxers instead of briefs. The "support" briefs provide also constrict your manhood, thus reducing sperm count and long term problems.

5)Wrinkled clothes but no ironing iron(or just too lazy) ? Throw them in the dryer for 5-7min to get the wrinkles out.

Desk. Art? State of mind?

Desk - Music and Sound Design from Aaron Trinder Film:Motion:Music on Vimeo.

A neat little Doc by Aaron Trinder on a few designer's inputs on how their desks have a part in their creative lives. How is your desk related to your work? to your life? I live in a dorm so I have to make use of the tiny table they gave me. Some of those desks in the vid I don't mind having.
Do you guys have messy desks or clean ones?

Sunday, October 10, 2010

Wow it's already been another week?? I went from 0 to 60 followers. YAYz for me and all of you.

NOW here's some tips to further improve your already awesome lives

1. Procrastinated till you essay is due right now???!! Buy yourself one more day’s time by taking a jpeg or music file and renaming the extension to .doc and changing the name to your essay’s. By changing the file extension , your professor will not be able to see the corrupt file and email you to send your doc again the next day.

2. Have acne? Don’t want cavities leprosy? These things are caused by bacteria and can be reduced greatly by eating Cashews. (shits crazy huh)

3. Obvious hack is obvious, Brush teeth twice a day to prevent cavities, cavities can get into the blood stream and decay your brain.

4. When you buy anything besides food, think to yourself whether you would still have it or use it in 4 years. You’ll save money this way.

5. You look at people in public and guess what! They look at you too. Never make yourself a fool and make controlled actions. Guys won’t look down on you and the opposite sex will admire.

Gyōza (Guotie) (potstickers)

Typically consist of a ground meat and/or vegetable filling wrapped into a thinly rolled piece of dough, which is then sealed by pressing the edges together or by crimping. This half fried half not is called  "hallow-fried" which is done in a wok. A small quantity of water is added and the wok is covered. While the base of the dumplings is fried, the upper part is steamed. Didn't take a picture of the inside cause when I realized I should have....they were all gone.

China breaks record of fastest HIGH SPEED RAIL in the world.

Oh no those communists are catching up with the world and gaining speed.
Imagine going from New York to Chicago in just a bit over three hours,no waits, no taxis needed. Shanghai’s latest bullet train has broken the previous record for the fastest high speed train in the world by 21km/h. The lightning fast train was able to reach a speed of 415km/h, and come late October it start running to service riders traveling from Shanghai to Hangzhou (which are approximately 202km apart).

Its SUNDAY time to look a back on this week and reflect. Here are some Life Hacks to improve that already awesome life you have!

1. If you want to make your scissors sharper and cut more paper, just fold a sheet of Aluminum Foil by 4 times and cut it with the scissors. The foil micro sharpens the blades of the scissors!

2. Keep a smile on your face. Smiling releases endorphins in your brain which will lighten your mood.

3.  It might be surprising ,but people don't like to be insulted. Be friendly to strangers cause who knows how they will play part in your life.

4. Have a set of spare clothes in your car. You never know when they might come in handy.

If you guys like this I'll make it into a weekly thing.

Bún thịt nướng

Bún thịt nướng is Rice Vermicilli.
Orginating from Vietnam. The version I got consisted of grilled pork and vermicelli noodles bedded with greens such as sliced cucumber, carrots, herbs. Also included were a few chopped up egg rolls, spring onions. Ending with roasted peanuts and onion on top and a small bowl of light fish sauce. The meal is light yet very flavorful. The meat and eggrolls give the dish the hearty substance. Try it out if you can.

I purchased a standard Kilo TT in Orange from Bikes Direct 9 months ago. Being 6’4” with a 34 inseam, the frame size I got was 60cm (63cm for regular bike companies). The shipping took less than a week. The bike came in a large box with a squashed corner. Make you before you open your box to take some pictures. Just incase the delivery banged up and damaged your bike; you have picture evidence for a return or refund. So the bike comes half assembled, with the pedals, front tire, handlebars and seat post detached. Assembly would require two Allen wrenches and a regular adjustable wrench for tightening the wheels and pedals. I recommend going to a bike shop to have them adjust the bike to your measurements. This precaution is good for your comfort and health, if you know how to fit yourself with the bike more power to you.

The paint is bright and isn’t too thin. The decals are not removable. I use an ulock for commuting around school. After 3 months there are chips to where I would lock up the bike. I guess this would be minimized if you were to be more careful, but it’s just a bike… The wheels are light and in my opinion very standard and not flashy. They came true and straight. A word of advise, if you are a heavier rider and you do jumps or just road riding over bad roads your wheels will eventually go out of true. I took a spill 4 months of riding the kilo TT, and the wheels went wicked bent. I couldn’t even roll the bike home because the wheel would jam with the brake clamp. The bottom bracket isn’t such great quality either. 9 months of riding has made the crank set very squeaky and noisy, but it still works. The stock pedals do their job, but the plastic clips are flimsy and sometimes it takes a time to readjust them to fit your feet. THE SADDLE IS HORRIBLE. I thought I was adjusting to riding a bike, but after a month I still was in agony from long rides. Switching a different saddle is a smart move if you want to have babies in the future (this applies to females as well, the saddle is THAT HORRIBLE). The frame has been holding up brilliantly. The steel isn’t thin, but it isn’t bulky heavy thick either. I plan on keeping the frame for the rest of my life. Track geometry is there. There will be toe over lap but I doubt you would need to turn that much. I don’t do BARSPINZ so that stuff isn’t concerning me.

Personal Touches and Upgrades.

Being the Fad now is SICK FIXIE MODS I have made a few changes to the Kilo TT. I have lowered the stem two thin spacers down and plan on cutting the fork tube to that height. I being 235 pounds, thin tires am not very practical. The stock Kenda Tires wasted so many of my inner tubes. The tires are just too thin for heavy riders. I switched to Vittoria Randonneurs and three months with them have not had any pinch flats since. After my crash and pretty much wrecking my stock wheels, I did research and bought 42mm rim wheels. While 30mm would have been enough I figured with an extra 12mm the wheels would be indestructible with my weight. Riding on the rough roads isn’t a worry anymore. When you do buy deep rims you will have to buy inner tubes with longer necks so keep that in mind. The negative of having very durable rims is the added weight. I bought a Shimano Dura Ace lock ring after reading on the forums on how the stock locking isn’t that great, and so far its been doing its job and preventing stripping the hub

For $360 you get a very good frame with average sub par components. The money you save from buying this bike will make your wallet happy and I guess give you a good excuse to buy neat wheels and other upgrades whether atheistic or practicality. I have had the bike for more than half a year and I believe I will keep it and use for a long time.

So Thursday is when I present a person who strongly incorporates Alpha Male Traits.

This week is Calvin Bridges.

Calvin lived from 1889-1938. In the science field he is known for helping prove Chromosomes play a part in heredity. While this is very vital to medicine and biology today Calvin has proven that scientists can be alpha as well. Being too bored with his personal life, Calvin divorced  his wife of 3 children, continued to support them with his earnings and bought himself a bachelor pad and a vasectomy, trying to get every woman he met . The man discovered a key part in Heredity and got a lot of tail while doing it.

So a new quarterly report from the IIHS has been released. It seems the SURPRISE SURPRISE that "no texting while driving" laws are not effective. The study shows that drivers of all ages still text while driving. Due lack of reenforcement of the law. I don't have texting, but come on, isn't it obvious? How are you suppose to drive when your eyes and one hand are distracted with a, at max, 3 in screen. It's a selfish thing to do and its dangerous, I doubt any text you are sending out or reading is equal to an accident and harming yourself or another.

Nintendo's sequel to the popular Touch driven Device finally gets a release date. The new 3d capable game player has a Japan Date of Feb 26. Nintendo is going to be the first to have a device that incorporates 3D visuals without the need of additional peripherals like glasses.

Shoes And What I think

The "sole" purpose of shoes are to cover your feet and make sure you don't get yucky blisters and what not. What's so amazing is how consumerism has transformed this necessity into a luxury. A great example would be Nike and its products. From the up start of the company Nike has incorporated Design into shoes. So much that people would buy pairs of shoes for hundreds of dollars and it won't even be the right size. Nike knows that the shoe can be profitable. I bet they spend more money into their marketing and design than actual beneficial research....ahem apple. What can you do about it though. The formula works, personally I am eyeing a pair of shoes that don't do much but cost a lot.

Dura ACE

Purchased new Dura ACE Lock Ring

Haha Shimano your stuff is too expensive.
